Agreements on the Reciprocal Encouragement and Protection of Investments and the Prevention of Double Taxation are also signed and on the process of ratification. The Joint Economic and Trade Committee between the two countries held six meetings so far.

Turkish Airlines inaugurated its Istanbul-Ho Chi Minh City flights in 2010 and Istanbul-Hanoi flights in 2016 on the basis of an Agreement on Air Transport initialed and a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries in 2009.

Turkey and Vietnam enjoy a fruitful cooperation at the international level as well. Both countries supported each other’s candidacies in the UN and other international organizations.
